Wallice has dropped a powerful new track called ‘Deadbeat’. The track builds slowly, through subtle electronic pulses topped by her casual voice, into a strong, violin-led power-pop ballad that feels grand and climactic. Her voice develops along with the track, taking on the weight of her blunt, vulnerable and honest lyrics as she delivers them. “It is probably my most personal song to date - to be honest, it’s a very touchy subject that’s hard for me to talk about, but I am so proud of the vulnerability in this song,” says Wallice. “Using music to work through these emotions was a very cathartic process, and I think that feeling will resonate.” Wallice’s debut album, The Jester, drops on November 15th, 2024, via Dirty Hit. -Dan Peeke
